At this year’s annual general meeting, shareholders voted unanimously in favour of appointing Egil Haugsdal as new non-executive director on the company’s board of directors.
Haugsdal brings more than 30 years of industrial experience to the table. He is currently head of Kongsberg Renewables Technologies, part of Kongsberg Gruppen (Kongsberg), a renowned global technology corporation headquartered in Norway. Kongsberg has more than 11,000 employees in more than 40 countries.
“We are pleased to welcome Haugsdal to our board of directors. His background is highly relevant for Vow and our journey ahead. Working in Kongsberg, he knows first-hand what it takes to build a large and leading technology business, with aspirations very similar to ours,” said Henrik Badin, CEO of Vow ASA.
Haugsdal joined Kongsberg in 1985 and then again in 1996 after having served nine years with ABB, another global engineering firm. Since then, he has had several leading roles in Kongsberg, including head of Kongsberg Maritime, Kongsberg Oil & Gas Technologies, and Kongsberg Protech Systems and business development in the Kongsberg Group.
“In Vow, I see much of the same passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to build energy systems and industry for the future, as we have in Kongsberg Renewables Technologies, and I look forward to sharing experience and learning more in Vow’s board of directors. I am impressed with Vow’s track record in delivering advanced technology for cleaner oceans and providing new net-zero and circular solutions for industry,” said Egil Haugsdal, newly appointed non-executive director of Vow ASA.
Vow’s other board members are Narve Reiten (chair), Susanne Schneider, Bård Brath Ingerø and Hanne Refsholt. They were all re-elected at this year’s annual general meeting.
